Delta leaders have described Ngozi Olejeme as the best person to replace Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan at the Delta State Government House in 2015.
Chairman, Delta Leaders Forum, Julius Akpomughe, said in a statement made available to journalists, on Wednesday, that Olejeme had all the necessary qualities to replace Governor Uduaghan as the governor of Delta State based on her track records in Nigeria and her political savvy which made her the pride of all political groups in Delta State.
“Anybody following her activities in the country, particularly Delta State, will agree that she is the right candidate for the coveted post. She has the antidote to make the people happy and to carry all along.
“Even the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is not unmindful of the unique leadership qualities inherent in her, so the party might eventually pick her as governorship flag bearer,” Akpomughe said.
Akpomughe also pointed out that the fear expressed by some politicians over transparency and accountability could be handled appropriately by Olejeme who would also continue with the three point agenda being carried out by the current administration.
“As a successful entrepreneur, an administrator of repute and a boardroom guru with a wealth of experience and a proven record of success in governance and business management, Mrs. Olejeme has proved to Nigerians, particularly the people of Delta State that government is all about accountability to the people.
“She is the best person for the state’s top office. She will make Delta a better place. She will invigorate the educational system, improve the health services, and keep the economy of the state in good shape,” the leaders promised.
Akpomughe further submitted that any good Deltan that kept up with political development in the state would know that Olejeme was a politician who had the passion to deliver the dividends of democracy to the people. “Delta leaders have a liking for any person that is hard working and has a very good reputation. Olejeme has proved to us beyond reasonable doubt that she is the person to support. We are sure that those who understand the need for a good leader and a greater Delta State will support her,” he concluded.
