Don’t allow insecurity ruin 2015 elections, group tells Jonathan

President Goodluck Jonathan has been advised to work for the peace and security of Nigeria to ensure successful general elections in 2015.
Briefing newsmen in Abuja yesterday, Ambassador Yohana Margif, chairman of Apostle Yohana Margif Foundation, said Nigeria is passing through most critical moments capable of threatening its existence.
Ambassador Margif accused politicians of deliberately
causing trouble and distracting the present government by fueling sectional crises across the country adding that the 2015 presidency should not be a do or die affairs as most politicians are reasoning.
“Government has all the necessary might and machinery to contain any sort of internal conflict but it is rather unfortunate that Nigerians are being killed on a daily basis in their own country by known persons yet, nothing is done.
“The economic strength of those affected is dwindling fast with most of their source of livelihood wasted. Yet, government, security agencies and politicians seems not to be bothered. Then who will be left to be part of the 2015 elections that is their dream”, he asked rhetorically.
He said President Jonathan’s tenure is still, on adding that what every Nigerian was expected to do was to put all ideas together with the government to fast track the move to end the incessant killings of innocent Nigerians.
He appealed to politicians to have the interest of the people at heart and operate according to the rules of the game adding that peace and security should be encouraged to ensure a free and fair election in 2015.
