The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress
(APC) Ekiti State, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, has moved his re-electioneering
campaign rally to Ijero Local Government in Ekiti Central.
Speaking with news men, Mr Fayemi said that his unique selling point
for the June 21 governorship election was his track record of
performance which he believes would get him back into the Government
House in Ado Ekiti for another four years of service to the state.
Dr Fayemi again recounted the said achievements to include the social
security scheme for the elderly, good roads connecting the communities
and many other developmental projects said to have been executed across
the local government.
The lawmaker representing Ijero Local Government at the State House
of Assembly, Funmilola Ogunlola, referred to the candidacy of the APC’s
Kayode Fayemi as a round peg in a round hole, giving assurances that the
community would support the Governor come June 21, 2014 and beyond.
The Governor also visited the traditional rulers within the local
government as he called for more support. The traditional rulers, while
offering him their support, also presented him with their demands, which
promised to give attention to, as soon as soon he is re-elected.
Governor Fayemi was accompanied on the campaign by members of his
cabinet, the Speaker and members of the State House of Assembly, federal
lawmakers, and the leaders of the APC in the state
