Speaking with a group of journalists on Thursday, the erstwhile Minister noted that the confab was destined to fail as it would not provide solution to the many problems currently confronting the country.
“I expect delegates to speak on matters and issues such as access to primary health, sound education, mode of providing good leadership, how to tackle unemployment, revive agriculture and others,” he stated.
While explaining the need to go back to the submissions and recommendation made
at previous conferences held, he maintained,”We kept making mistakes. I expected the president to go back to previous reports and recommendations from all the conferences and see how issues raised could be thrashed out.”
On Lamido of Adamawa’s threats to move to Cameroun, Hyat said no Nigerian should take such people serious.
“I don’t see any reason anyone should worry over such statement made by Lamido of Adamawa. He can go to Cameroun but certainly not with Adamawa people,” Hyat added.
