Nobody Can Take Jonathan’s Life, Says Aso Villa Chaplain

Chaplain of the Aso Villa chapel, Ven. Obioma Onwuzurumba, on Friday, said despite the prevailing situation in the country, nobody can take President Goodluck Jonathan’s life until he completes his mission on earth.
He added that no human being had the powers to ascertain the number of years a fellow human being would live on the surface of the earth.
Onwuzurumba spoke in a short exhortation he delivered during a special Good Friday service held at the chapel.
The clergyman, who read from Luke 23:46, said the president remained
unstoppable to men.
“Nobody can take the President’s life until he is done. You cannot determine how long a human being will live”, he said.
The cleric, however, urged all those in attendance to prepare for the unknown by making peace with God.
He also said how a man departs this world – whether through sickness or accident – is of no consequence.
What matters, according to him, is the person who would receive the departed’s soul at the point of death.
He also spoke on the Transformation Agenda of the current administration, saying though some people claimed not to see anything on ground, the positive developments were real.
He therefore urged Nigerians to continue to lift up the country and President Jonathan in prayers, saying in so doing, the nation would soon overcome its various challenges.
The president attended the service with his mother, Eunice, while the First Lady, Dame Patience Jonathan, was conspicuously missing.
The service featured the reading and short exhortations on the seven words of Jesus Christ on the cross.
Some of those who took the readings were the Chairman of the Federal Civil Service Commission, Mrs. Joan Ayo; Chairman of the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency, Mr. Olajide Adeniji; the chapel’s administrator, Mr. Abba Mshelia; and the wife of the chaplain.
