APC holds LG congress in Kaduna on Saturday
The All Progressives Congress said on Thursday that it
would conduct the party’s local government congress
in Kaduna State on Saturday.
The state Interim Chairman of the party, Dr Hakeem
Baba-Ahmed, told newsmen in Kaduna that all leaders
and stakeholders, including aspirants for the position
of state and local government chairmen, met on May
29 to adopt the date.
Baba-Ahmed called on the stakeholders to close ranks
and ensure that the May 31 congress was peaceful and
successful, to facilitate the conduct of the state
congress.
He expressed appreciation to the National Headquarters
of the party and Gov. Rabiu Kwankwaso of Kano State
for resolving the internal problems of the party in the
state.
The chairman said the APC was working toward
ensuring that “only the most positive things are
achieved in the party and the country’’.
He said the state congress organising committee would
soon release the results of the ward congresses
conducted earlier.
