Explosion In Kano State Health School Kills Eight.
An explosion has struck a public health college in Kano State,
the BBC reports, leaving at least eight people dead.
The explosion hit the Kano School of Hygiene.
Coordinator, National Information Centre, Mike Omeri,
confirmed the explosion and the number of causalities.
Kano is known to have been targeted in the past by the radical
Islamist group Boko Haram, which aims to create an Islamic
state in northern Nigeria.
Three states in the north are under a government-imposed state
of emergency following years of militant attacks.
On twitter, one Seyi Peters tweeted: “The bomb exploded at the
School of Hygiene, BUK road, Kano.”
