What Happened In Ekiti Can’t Happen In Osun – Aregbesola
Osun State governor, Rauf Aregbesola has said that
what happened in Ekiti State during the governorship
poll on June 23 cannot happen in Osun State. The
governor also faulted the Ekiti governorship election
results, saying that it was characterised with
irregularities.
Aregbesola, who said this at the continuation of his
re-election campaign into office in Ikirun/Ifelodun
and Odo-otin federal constituency of the state, said
there is no chance for any other political party to oust
APC in the state.
He said, “They rigged the APC out in Ekiti State but
we are still looking at them. There is no way for them
in Osun State and if they try to perpetrate fraud, they
will meet their waterloo.
“I learnt that the opposition party which is PDP is
boasting to lock down Osun State. But I want to tell
them that what happened in Ekiti state is not
practicable in Osun.
“We are not fighting security men but if they don’t
obey the rules of the land, we will not take it lightly
with them. Ekiti is different from Osun and I want to
assure you that the political theory of Ekiti can not
work in Osun State.
“In the year 2011, during the presidential election, all
Yoruba speaking states voted for Jonathan but in
Osun State, we voted for Ribadu and this is a proof
that Osun can not be compared with other states.”
