Fayose commends Jonathan over appointment of Adeyeye
THE Ekiti State governor-elect, Mr Ayo Fayose, has
described the appointment of Prince Adedayo Adeyeye
as Minister of State for Works by President Goodluck
Jonathan as a right step in the right direction.
Fayose, who stated this through his media aide, Mr
Idowu Adelusi, in Abuja on Tuesday, said that Adeyeye
would do well in the new position.
The governor-elect described Adeyeye as a man not
given to frivolity or known for disloyalty, assuring the
president that Adeyeye would not disappoint him.
Fayose said: “I promised to stand by him. I enjoin Ekiti
people home and abroad to stand by him so that he
can succeed for Nigeria and Ekiti State, his primary
constituency.
“I charged Adeyeye to have a separate telephone
through which Ekiti people can reach him. He must be
reachable and prepared to bear our burden as a state.
“Adeyeye should not allow politicians to come between
us as, politics and office come and go.”
Fayose who narrowly missed the handing over
ceremony in Abuja on Monday, said he would give every
support so that Adeyeye would do Ekiti people proud.
Fayose thanked the President over the appointment,
assuring again that Ekiti people who are noted for
loyalty and uprightness will not disappoint him.
