Umeh is day-dreaming and lost in self illusion, APGA is non-existent in Abia – Orji
Governor Theodore Orji of Abia state has described the
claim made by the National Chairman of the All
Progressive Grand Alliance, Chief Victor Umeh, that APGA
will sweep the polls in the State come 2015 as empty,
bogus and lacking substance.
The governor who said this via his Chief Press Secretary,
Charles Ajunwa, stated that Umeh was day-dreaming and
lost in self illusion by thinking that APGA “which is non-
existent in Abia ” could capture the state in 2015.
According to reports from Punch, Umeh had while
commissioning the state secretariat of the party in
Umuahia, said APGA would sack the ruling Peoples
Democratic Party from Abia government house in 2015
and transform the state in accordance with the visions of
its founding fathers and great leaders from the East like
late Michael Okpara, and Sam Mbakwe .
Faulting
Umeh’s claims,
Orji said it was
impossible for
APGA to snatch
Abia from the
grip of PDP
which had
remained in
control of the
state since
1999 , adding
that the
opposition
including APGA is long dead in Abia .
He said the giant strides recorded by his PDP-led
administration had made it near impossible for
PDP to be uprooted in the state in the near future.
Orji advised Umeh to stop junketing around with
a false identity of self- acclaimed Igbo leader
meant to deceive the gullible minds and less
politically informed folks when in fact, PDP
according to him is the party that can properly
project the Igbo interest.
The Governor therefore enjoined residents of the
state and Ndigbo in general to disregard Umeh
and his propaganda , and stay put with PDP,
assuring that the continued support of Ndigbo for
President Goodluck Jonathan will not go
unrewarded.
