Jonathan has favoured Igbos above all, says Orji

The Abia State Governor, Theodore Orji, has declared that no administration, whether military or civilian, has favoured Ndigbo than the present administration of President Goodluck Jonathan, and has advised the people of the South East to support the President.
Speaking to newsmen on the ground breaking of the 2nd Niger Bridge, the governor insisted that those parading to love the South East, especially now that 2015 general elections were around the corner, are enemies of the area.
According to him, Jonathan has touched Ndigbo more than all those that have ruled Nigeria, stating that and that the area still had a lot to gain by throwing their full weight
behind him in the coming polls.
“The zone has never had it so good since the current dispensation. The construction of the 2nd bridge across the River Niger, which we have been clamouring for a long time, is a dream come true for every Igbo and Nigeria.”
He maintained that the bridge would help to open the economic potentials of the zone, which have mainly remained untapped and that its construction will serve as a link to both the people of the zone and some parts of the South/South zone.
“For a zone that has been marginalised, will the President lay the foundation stone for another bridge when there is an existing one, set the money aside and also set a deadline for the delivery of the project? No, we have never had it so good my people.
“The second bridge is very important because the old (one) is becoming weak and also being over used. The bridge will help to reduce the pressure the people from both the zone and some parts of South/South during festive period.”
He enumerated several other projects that the administration of Jonathan has done for Ndigbo to include the reconstruction of the Port Harcourt/Enugu expressway, the Onitsha/Owerri road, the internationaliaation of the Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu, among others.
