The statement by PDP Gubernatorial aspirant in the forthcoming Osun election, Iyiola Omisore claiming his life is being threatened and asking security agencies to caution APC leaders and incumbent governor, Rauf Aregbesola has sparked a reaction from the opposition party.
The Director of Publicity, Research and Strategy of the APC, Mr. Kunle Oyatomi has said the PDP is notoriously known for violence and blood-sheds. He claimed hoodlums working for the PDP killed many people in the state while trying to consolidate on the mandate they stole from Aregbesola in 2007.
Oyatomi’s statement reads:
“ The PDP has been shedding blood. Violence is their trade mark. The records of their bloodletting activities are there for everyone to see.
“The purported threat to Omisore’s life; this is what they intend to do and they are rushing to the press to lay it on the doorsteps of the ruling party.”
