The Kebbi chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) says the
party will win all elective positions in the state come 2015 general
elections.
The Chairman of the party in the state, Alhaji Mansur Shehu, gave
the assurance in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in
Birnin Kebbi on Tuesday.
Shehu said that the party had fine tuned strategies on how to achieve the electoral feat next year.
He expressed optimism that PDP would be re-elected in the state
“owing to the glaring and beneficial democratic dividends provided by
the party at both the national, state and the local government levels”.
He said the party had in the past seven years constructed 5,000
kms of roads, 250 additional schools and 25 general hospitals in rural
communities.
“The PDP in the state had empowered farmers with implements,
seedlings and seed capital for mass production of rice in commercial
quantity,” Shehu said.
He said that Gov. Saidu Dakingari PDP-led was not indebted to any
external or internal organisation and individuals, adding that the
re-election of the party in 2015 would witness more dividend of
democracy.
Shehu, therefore, called on members of the party to support the PDP-
led administration in the state, adding that the party would ensure
discipline among its ranks irrespective of position, tribe or religion.
