APC Chieftain Attacks PDP National Secretary Over Statement
A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State, Alhaji Abdulrahaman Baffa Yola, yesterday threw his weight behind the statement by Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso on President Goodluck Jonathan and
Akwa Ibom State governor, Godswil Akpabio.
Kwankwaso had while reacting to the statement of
President of Jonathan during a rally in Kano tongue
lashed the president and Akpabio while the Peoples
Democratic Party (PDP) last week in a statement by its
national secretary, Professor Wale Oladipo, replied by
describing Kwankwaso as a scavenger.
Yola who was a national officer of defunct ACN said
Kwankwaso has spoken the minds of millions of people
of Kano state.
“I doubt if it is the PDP that issued the statement, I
know it was Professor Oladipo that issued it himself
and not for his party. If you look at the way Oladipo
came up to become the national secretary you will
know he is the one scavenging in politics.
“Even members of his party at his state of Osun
protested against his candidature when he was named
as national secretary. This is a person whose CV in
politics is empty. So it is worrying for somebody like
him to be attacking politician like Kwankwaso,” he
said in a phone interview.
He said Kwankwaso’s credentials in politics has made
him to stand tall even among his colleagues across the
country.
“You cannot just come into politics and start attacking
credible people like Kwankwaso who have endeared
themselves to their people,” he said.
