PDP will choose my running mate – Omisore

Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), governorship candidate for Osun governorship election, Senator Iyiola Omisore has disclosed that he will accept his party’s choice of a running mate. According to the National Mirror, Omisore believes the party reserves the right to pick his running mate. He made the revelation while receiving Islamic leaders from Iwo zone, who paid him a solidarity visit at his Ile- Ife residence where he opined that PDP leaders will choose the best from among the poll of qualified politicians and described himself as “a loyal party man who will abide by decision of the party leadership on the issue.” He restated his commitment to an inclusive reconciliation with all segments of the party ahead of the August 9, adding that he has never foreclosed reunion with any aggrieved section of the party, promising that, ‘no sacrifice will be too much to make to defeat the All Progressives Congress, APC government in the state’, National Mirror reports. Omisore said: “I understand people want some clarifications. People are worried about their interests after the primaries. Others want outstanding issues cleared. I understand all these as a long term political player and I assure our party men and women that we are on top of the situation.”
