We Will Bring Down Nigeria If Any Bomb Explodes In The South East – MASSOB

Following the recent failed attempt to blow up a church in Imo State, the Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB), has threatened to declare war on the country if a bomb explodes in any of the south east states. Chief Ralph Uwazurike, leader of MASSOB said this while reacting to the discovery of explosives in a Living Faith Church in Owerri on Sunday. Uwazurike, who disclosed this in a telephone chat yesterday, said that MASSOB will retaliate with equal and decisive force if Boko Haram attacks any city in the zone, warningthat the movement would no longer tolerate the mindless killing of Ndigbo in any part of the country, especially in the southeast. “The position of MASSOB on this matter is firm, we will bring down Nigeria if any bomb goes off in the southeast. We can no longer tolerate the mindless killing of Ndigbo in any part of Nigeria because we will retaliate with equal force,” Uwazurike said. Meanwhile, The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Imo State yesterday said the recent discovery of Improvised Explosive Devices (IED) at the Living Faith Ministries, popularly known as Winners Chapel in Imo State has justified their earlier alarm that some members of the Boko Haram sect have been smuggled into the state. Briefing newsmen yesterday, the state chairman of the party , Nnamdi Anyaehie, who led some other members of the state party’s executive, George Eguh and Eyinnaya Onuegbu, on a solidarity visit to the site of the church where the bomb was averted, maintained that the party had earlier warned the citizens of the state about a plan to terrorise the state.
