Support Jonathan’s administration, Mu’azu urges Nigerians
THE National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic
Party (PDP), Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu, has said that if
Nigerians can give adequate support to President
Goodluck Jonathan’s administration, lasting solutions
will be proffered to the many problems confronting the
country.
Mu’azu, who stated this on Thursday at the
groundbreaking ceremony of the PDP permanent
secretariat in Akwa, Ibom State, noted that insurgency
and many other national issues confronting the Federal
Government could be addressed with prayers, support
and well intended actions from all Nigerians.
The PDP national chairman, who laid the foundation
stone for the Akwa Ibom State Secretariat of the party
and commissioned 31 buses for the 2015 general
elections, said the support for President Jonathan’s
administration would take the country to another level
in terms of development.
He called on party members in the state to continue to
be loyal by supporting the government in power both
at the national and state levels.
The state governor, Chief Godswill Akpabio, said that
the state was not only supporting President Jonathan’s
government but was praying for it to overcome all its
challenges.
He regretted that in the advanced nations citizens rose
in support of their presidents but here in Nigeria, he
said the reverse was the case.
Akpabio, who is the Chairman of the PDP Governors’
Forum, pledged to work with the national leadership of
the PDP towards the success of the party in 2015.
He lauded the efforts of the national chairman for
stopping the tide of movement of party members to
other parties as well as the feat recorded at the just
concluded election in Ekiti State.
