Aregbesola appoints campaign committee members

As the preparations for the governorship election, slated for August 9, 2014 in Osun State hots up, a 20- man campaign committee to coordinate the re-election of the Governor Rauf Aregbesola has been constituted. The committee, saddled with the responsibility of ensuring utmost success and re-election of the incumbent governor, under the banner of the All Progressives Congress (APC) would be led by Senator representing Osun Central Senatorial District, Professor Sola Adeyeye. In a statement signed by the Director of Publicity, Research and Strategy of the APC in Osun, Kunle Oyatomi, the committee appointed as its Secretary, Professor John Adebunmi Ayoade, a former deputy director, Centre for Democratic Studies (CDS). Senator Bayo Salami, Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Najeem Salam; Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Moshood Adeoti; Chief of Staff, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola and Dr. Peter Babalola. The committee also comprises three state commissioners and five members of the House of Assembly, including the Commissioners for Finance, Budget and Planning, Dr. Wale Bolorunduro; Information, Sunday Akere and Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Mr Kolapo Alimi.[Nigerian Tribune]
