Northern Leaders Forum of the All
progressives congress (APC) have decided that the position of the
national chairman of the party should be retained by the South West
zone.
A committee set up by the northern
leaders caucus, which has Dr. Ibrahim Lame as chairman, met and resolved
issues concerning the national convention of the party and took a
position which conclusion has been forwarded to the National Executive
Committee (NEC ) of the parry.
In the report of the special committee, the northern leaders upheld the supremacy of zoning to decide the structure of the party and voted in favour of the South West zone for the national chairmanship.
The forum said this is to ensure fairness in the allocation of party positions and to give all the zones of belonging.
In the report it presented to the NEC titled “ Report of Special Committee of Northern Leaders Forum of APC, the group canvassed that the deputy national chairman should go the South South, while the national organizing secretary should go to
South East, the national secretary to
the North east, National treasurer to the North West and national women

Members of the forum are, Nelson Alapa, Hajiya Ramatu Aliyu, Sadiya Umar Farouk, Ocholi James, Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, Boss Mustapha and Waziri Bulama.
They also presented an alternative option in case, the first one is not accepted which votes in favour of the South South for the chairmanship position.
