‘PDP May Lose Sokoto Come 2015’- Alhaji Tambuwal
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Sokoto State
chapter may lose 2015 general elections in the state
if it continues with its current level of disunity,
Alhaji Abubakar Tambuwal has warned.
Tambuwal who was the former state chairman of the
party and is aspiring for the position again, insisted
that, aside the glaring disunity, the imposition of any
aspirant against the people’s choice would amount to
killing the party in the state.
While insisting that, PDP has and remains a party that
respect democratic norms, Tambuwal assured that,
the party has every chance of defeating the APC
despite its incumbency in the state. He noted that,
victory can only come through the unity of the party.
He said, “As the 2015 polls are fast approaching, we
cannot win on a divided platform in the state. PDP
should be united, otherwise it cannot squarely face
the challenges ahead in the state and at the national
level”.
“ We have the forthcoming local government
election in the state to face the ruling All
Progressives Congress ( APC) in the state,” he added.
