Four aspire for APGA guber ticket in Imo

Leader of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Imo State, Chief Martin Agbaso, has confirmed that four persons have indicated interest in vying for the governorship ticket of the party ahead 2015.
He advised all aspirants within the party to avoid the use of blackmail in the course of reaching out to people saying, that will not be in the interest of the party.
Addressing party members yesterday at the first stakeholders meeting in Owerri, the onetime governorship candidate
of the party, said it is obvious that more people would join the race for the party’s governorship ticket.
He informed aspirants that the time for them to begin their sensitisation tour and consultations with people of various communities and local government areas has come.
Agbaso reminded the members that the task facing all members of the party is not only to make sure the party occupies the Imo Government House come 2015, but to win all the senatorial, House of Representatives and 24 seats in the Imo State House of Assembly.
In his address, the state chairman of the party, Barr. Chudi Onuzo recalled what he called the ‘shameful betrayal of the party” by Governor Rochas Okorocha who he said abandoned the party to APC and his subsequent declaration that the party that brought him to power is dead.
The chairman whose address was read by Mr. Tony Mgbeahurike, the publicity secretary of the party, said that it was based on that premise that the caretaker committee was inaugurated with the mandate to resurrect the party.
