A’ Ibom PDP warns Gulak against backing group

The Akwa Ibom State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) yesterday rose from a midnight State Executive Council (SEC) meeting with a warning on the Goodluck Jonathan/Sambo Organisation not to stir any crisis in the state.
The meeting which ended at about 2pm Wednesday night at the state banquet hall of the government House and attended by Governor Godswill Akpabio,
party chairman, Paul Ekpo as well as the senators and House of Representatives  members from the zone, called on President Jonathan to caution his aides who it says are bent on causing ‘disaffection in the various states of the federation’.
The state chairman of the party,  in a communiqué read to party supporters, advised the political adviser the President, Ahmed Gulak, to concentrate on sorting out PDP problem in his Adamawa State rather than bothering about Akwa Ibom and other states in South/South which  he says have no problem with President Jonathan’s campaign.
He called on the president’s special adviser to desist from further interference in the affairs of the party in the state saying the state does not need the assistance of an ‘’outsider to campaign here for Mr President.’’
The party also affirmed its decision to zone the governorship position of the party to Eket senatorial district.
