Kwara APC begins congresses Saturday

The Kwara State chapter of All Progressives Congress (APC) has said it is ready to kick off congresses to elect the 5,447 officials to direct the affairs of the party in the state.
In a statement issued in Ilorin yesterday by its interim state publicity secretary, Alhaji Sulyman Buhari, the party said it has concluded arrangements to conduct its congress at ward,
local government and state levels.
Twenty six officials would be elected from each of the 193 wards of the state, 25 officials from each of the 16 local government areas, while 29 will be elected at the state level.
He said the ward congresses will be held on Saturday, April 5, while local government congresses will be held on April 12, and state congress is fixed for April 23. He said the party leadership has resolved to ensure hitch-free congresses.
“We encourage all our members to troop out en-masse and participate in the congresses as the congress is an exercise to advance our collective interests towards the development of Kwara State and Nigeria”, it added.
