Following the bombing at Sabon Gari, Kano
on Sunday, that claimed five lives and
injured many, former Knos State Governor,
Malam Ibrahim Shekarau has counseled the
residents of the area who are mainly non
indigenes not to lose faith in God in this
trying times.
In his remarks while commiserating with
residents of the Sabon Gari area in Kano,
affected by the blast, Shekarau urged them
to hold on to God as the followers of the two
holy books are assured that God will not
desert them.
He noted that only those who don’t see any
meaningful things in life will engage in
killing their fellow human beings.
“May the Almighty God expose the
perpetrators of the evil act (insurgency) and
hold their hands
back. May He expose all
those supporting them so that Nigerians in
general will enjoy peace and tranquility”,
Shekarau prayed.
The former governor said the bomb blast in
Sabon Gari area was a matter of concern to
the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the
state and prayed for the quick recovery of
the injured. He also prayed God to grant the
families of the dead the strength and
fortitude to bear the loss of their loved ones.
