‘Kashamu will deliver South-West to PDP’

The National Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and President Goodluck Jonathan have been assured that the chairman of the Mobilisation and Organisation Committee of the PDP in the South-West zone, Prince Buruji Kashamu, will deliver the region to the party in 2015. This assurance was given by the National Coordinator of the Women for Change and Development Initiative, Mrs Hadjia Rabi Ibrahim, during the courtesy visit of the group to the Oyo State office of the PDP South-West Mobilisation & Organisation for 2015 Presidential Election, Old Ife-Alakia, Road, Ibadan, at the weekend. Hadjia Ibrahim was accompanied on the trip by the wife of Chief Edwin Clark, Mrs Abisola Clark; Oyo State coordinator of the group, Alhaja Fatimo Salawu and her counterparts from Ogun and Ondo states and were received at the Ibadan airport by several women arms of the party. While addressing the party faithful, Hadjia Ibrahim said with what she saw on ground, “Prince Buruji Kashamu is ever ready to deliver the region for the party.” She said: “With what I’m seeing, I am sure Oyo State is for PDP and PDP is for Oyo State. I have been informed on the supportive role of Kashamu. He is doing a wonderful job because if not for his support, things wouldn’t have looked like this. “I promised to report what I have seen to him, thanked him and also encourage him to do more. The most important thing is for the national working committee of our party and the president to trust him. I also want to implore them to give Prince Kashamu the chance to deliver South-West to our party.” In his welcome speech, the Director of Organisation, Oyo State chapter of the South-West Mobilisation and Organisation for 2015 Presidential Election, Chief Adeleke Adekoya, revealed that the state arm of the group “is mobilising for the party to win next year’s election convincingly.” Adekoya expressed the party’s appreciation to Prince Kashamu, saying the party had appointed political evangelists to win souls for the party towards 2015 elections in the state.
