Lanlehin’s aide replies Ajimobi’s adviser

Media aide to Senator Olufemi Lanlehin, representing Oyo South Senatorial District of Oyo State at the Senate, Olawale Sadare, has condemned what he described as penchant of the Special Adviser on Media to Governor Abiola Ajimobi, Festus Adedayo, “for making reckless and uninformed comments against perceived opponents of the governor.” Sadare was reacting to comments by Adedayo in an interview he granted the Sunday Tribune over the cold war between Governor Ajimobi and the duo of Senators Lanlehin and Ayo Adeseun. In a statement made available to journalists in Ibadan, the state capital, on Sunday, Sadare took exception to what he called the foul language which Adedayo used against a serving senator of the Federal Republic. The statement read in part: “There is no person more knowledgeable than Adedayo in the practice of prostitution, having been in that market for a considerable long time as a hired political mouth piece to the highest bidder, irrespective of party, creed or ideology across the length and breath of Nigeria. “If not for ignorance and loss of professional consciousness, one would tend to wonder why a political appointee would take pride in launching vicious media attacks on elected political office holders. “It is unfortunate that a supposed experienced journalist would not mind compromising the dignity of the pen profession in a needless bid to fight self-induced political war for his principal. “If one may ask, where was Adedayo when Senator Lanlehin and a few other chieftains of the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), excluding Ajimobi, were positioning the party to enable it win elections in the state prior to the 2011 general elections? “Who is he (Adedayo) to talk about Senator Lanlehin’s political odyssey when those he runs errand for, at present, would never tell him the truth of any matter? “However, it is imperative for Adedayo to retrace his step and learn to be a thorough professional in his chosen career, while being reminded to get prepared for the boot as Ajimobi is about realising that his likes are largely responsible for the inevitable electoral misfortune in 2015.”
