He said the names of all eligible voters captured by INEC’s data machine would be published at the various registration centres across the state.
The INEC spokesperson explained that the purpose for the display of the registered voters’ list was so people or political parties could make claims or raise objections where necessary.
He said the exercise would also afford those whose names were wrongly spelt to make the necessary corrections.
Mr. Gbadegesin said the display would also expose anyone with double registration or who registered by proxy, adding that anyone found breaking the law would be prosecuted by INEC.
He, however, poured cold water on the agitation by a cross-section of the people that the commission would extend the registration exercise, saying all those who missed the opportunity now, should wait till January 2015 when another exercise would take place.
