We Should Learn From Sudan’s Experience To Avoid Division – Gov Aliyu
Niger State governor, Dr Mu’azu
Babangida Aliyu has said that
Nigerians should learn from the
break-up of Sudan and work for the
unity of the country.
The position of the governor is coming
just as the ambassador of Sudan in
Nigeria, Dr Tagerisor Mahagons Ali
stated that external influences
contributed to the break-up of Sudan.
Receiving the ambassador who paid
him a courtesy call yesterday at the
Government House, Minna, the
governor said countries should share
information and intelligence with their
neighbours to fight terrorism.
He stated that Nigeria should not take
artificial borders for granted, adding
that countries must collaborate
effectively to curb terrorism and
border crimes.
He said that all Nigerians must join
hands and support the federal
government to fight those who are out
to cause division in the country.
Earlier, the Sudanese ambassador said
10 million Nigerians are living
peacefully in Sudan and could be
found in different professions and
trades.
